A leading UK retail company with a global presence, seeks a BI analyst / developer who is looking to progress their BI career. This role will allow the opportunity to work with senior developers and Cognos professionals and develop key skills on a number of upcoming BI projects.

The employer is looking for an individual to join on a permanent basis to provide application support and assist with key enhancements to the system.

The ideal candidate would have:

-Strong Cognos 8 skills and ideally would have Cognos 7 as well. (support and development)
-SQL (ideally DB2, but other RDBMS considered, additional SQL server experience advantageous)
-Some exposure to either accounting or financial reporting / knowledge of the operations of a finance department, particularly in a shared-service context (highly desirable)
-Some exposure to retail, or other high-volume area (desirable)
