Hyperion Essbase Technical Specialist

Arguably one of the biggest retail chains with presence in North America in Europe is recruiting for a Hyperion Essbase Technical Specialist. Our European HQ is in central London. This role is a fixed term contract for 12 months.

You will sit in a team of 8 people which comprise of systems and finance individuals. You will be responsible for maintaining, coordinating and developing our Hyperion Essbase application.

On a day to day basis you will maintain all Hyperion Essbase client environments, working in liaison with IT and through multiple application layers to the Essbase data repository. You will also be expected to train and develop business partners in the use of the tools. In addition to this you will be expected to identify business processes and areas that are suitable for automation and implement strategies to do so.

We are looking for someone who has administered or developed a Hyperion Essbase application. The ideal candidate would have had experience in an organization that uses essbase primarily for planning, budgeting and forecasting. We are also looking for someone who has ideally had experience of working in a MIS team or in a hybrid finance and systems team. Strong team and interpersonal skills will help your application as well.

You will have the license to do whatever you want to Hyperion Essbase, and have the opportunity to develop it and enhance it as you see fit. Although this is a fixed term contract their are a lot of opportunities to stay on with us if you desire and be part of the various other implementations we have in place such as Hyperion Planning which we will offer you the chance to lead. Further to this we are offering a stepping stone into the contract world for permanent individuals who think its time to explore the contract market.
