Management Reporting Analyst

Company Outline:

World wide organisation specialising in commercial services based in Cambridgeshire are looking to recruit a Management reporting Analyst. You will be employed directly by us on a permanent basis.

Purpose of the role:

You will be expected to provide a high level of financial support to our entities and be responsible for the management reporting for the mainstream and niche areas of the business.

Day to day activities of the role:

The main accountabilities of the role are commercial, reporting and financial control. With regards Commercial aspects of the role you will be expected to provide commercial and decision support analysis to top level management. Monitor key performance indicators, and set clear guidelines and instructions for budgeting and forecasting of the group.
With regards reporting accountabilities you will be expected handle company reports and report them directly to senior management.
The financial control aspect of the role will require you to ensure integrity of the company balance sheet and provide clear and concise summaries and explanation of variances to plan, targets and last year.

Skills required:

Understanding of any of the below financial tools.
Hyperion Planning (desirable)
Hyperion
Cartesis
Business Objects

Flexible qualifications of the role are:
Business or equivalent level University degree.
Part qualified CIMA or ACCA.

Opportunities of the role:

At first glance you might see thins as a very accountancy based role. However the reason for this role is our organisation are currently using Hyperion Planning for things like Business reporting, Management reporting and financial reporting. So the opportunity within this role is to be the main contact working with Hyperion Planning, and because of the size of the organisation we are always implementing new solutions and financial systems. Therefore we require the candidate to have an aspiration to develop into a project management based role. You will play a key role in deciding what solutions we use and you will also have the chance to maintain and develop the Hyperion planning system. If you have other financial systems understanding we will be willing to offer you the training you need in order to become very familiar with Hyperion Planning.
